Okay guys, as some of you have already seen via Twitter or from talking to me, I'm pretty burnt out on writing. I've even had to take a break from my characters who are in competitive feds because I don't have it in me to compose full RPs. That being said, you can imagine how difficult it was to write full matches, much less a full show.
That's the reason this show was so late. I was burnt out and I tried to fight through it. Which was a disastrous idea, considering how much time and work would have gone into this even while not feeling burnt out. It was my mistake for putting on such an event, without feeling up to par and I take full and complete responsibility for it's lateness and having to summarize matches, not giving you the quality that you're used to seeing here in the PWP.
I'm still burnt out on writing. I can't commit to doing a show every month, at this point. So I'm going to change the PWP format. I will not be closing PWP up. Instead, I'm going to give it a twist.
Shows will be held according to how I feel and if I feel I can put out a show worth putting out. It may be one month in between shows. It may be three months in between shows. I don't know. The upside to all of this (in my opinion and in other's that I've spoke to)? Each show will have it's own theme. We will no longer have "normal" shows. Nothing will feel like a filler show or anything. Each show is gonna have a reason/theme to it.
For example, one show that will be held at some point (possibly the next one, whenever I decide to hold it) is going to be an 8 man tournament, similar to CHIKARA's Young Lions Cup. For those unfamiliar with what that is, it's a tournament that consists of some of the top young stars in wrestling. This show that I will be doing, will be based around that theme. It will consist of competitors that have been around for a year or less. No longer than a year.
And each show will have some sort of theme, like that, to go along with it. Not all will be tournaments. I'm gonna try to think up ideas and themes to keep things fun and interesting. I'm always open for suggestions on types of shows you'd like to see so if you have any ideas, please feel free to get in touch with me and let me know!
Also with these changes will come changes to the titles. I'm going to retire the tag team titles because since there won't be any month to month shows that don't have a specific format, there will be no need for them. As for the PWP Heavyweight Championship, at the next show, I will have a "special attraction" match, where the winner of the Queen of the Deathmatch, Cordy Stevenson, will get the title shot as promised, against Jackson. The winner of that match will be the final PWP heavyweight champion and that title will also be retired. Much like the tag titles, with the format changing, I don't see a need to have any titles around.
At this point in time, I'm not sure when the next show will be. It won't be this month, I know that for sure. I need some time to get rejuvenated. If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to get in touch with me.
